No guarantees

No one gets out alive

No one knows what waits for us around the next corner. Our health, jobs, friendships, and futures don’t include guarantees. There is no way to eliminate uncertainty from our lives. When a moment of uncertainty goes away in one part of our life, the shoe drops in another. It is like a game of whack a mole in our lives.

These are scary words in life. But if you seek out God and his righteousness, all things will be given to you.

Matthew 6:31-34

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Jesus says we can live fearlessly. God knows what we need today, and he is working to meet those needs today. No reason to let the uncertainty of the future rob you of the joys of today.

Trust doesn’t develop on its own, it requires communicating and letting God take control of our needs. Jesus wants to handle our fears about the future today.

Have a Blessed day, love the ones you are with, and remember we are not guaranteed tomorrow but we are guaranteed coffee today.
