This is my medical for this year and last, it is huge. Well, I took the test and back with my result. It was pretty much what I thought it would be. This was back in November of 2017
It told me that I was negative for the following Pathogens; Clostridium difficile, Salmonella enterica, and Vibrio cholerae. trust me none of these are fun and I wouldn’t wish them on people I very much dislike!
My Akkermansia muciniphila was Low, it outside of the healthy reference range. Akkermansia muciniphila is a species of human intestinal mucin-degrading bacterium. It means that I don’t have enough of the good bacterium in my body to help out my gut.
My Ruminococcus album was also very low. This is a bacteria that helps the nutrients they need to survive by breaking down cellulose, xylan, or pectin in fiber from consumed vegetable matter as it passes through the digestive system. Probably why I can’t digest and eat high fiber foods.
It gave a lot more details on what is going on in my body, why I feel the way I do, and how my body processes food. I have shared this report with my gut doctor and my primary doctor.
I am going to take the test again to see if things have changed. My insurance covered the cost to me as I have met my $5000 deductible.
They offer 3 types of test; Smart Gut, Bio Jane, and Explorer.
